Could Terrell Owens start playing in Canada? Ex-Cowboys WR reportedly working to force one CFL team's hand

Ex-Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens wants another shot at football, and he's hoping he can find it in Canada.

North of the border, TSN reported Tuesday that the 44-year-old Owens has activated a clause with the Canadian Football League's Edmonton Eskimos that forces the team to either offer him a contract or surrender their rights to him in the next 10 days.

Is he really looking to play up north though?

"Absolutely 100 percent," Owens' agent Jason Staroszik told TSN's Dave Naylor. "He still feels like he has some football years left in him. He just loves the game and wants to get back to playing whether it's the CFL or NFL."

Owens last saw NFL action in 2010 and last suited up for the Indoor Football League's Allen Wranglers in 2011.

Owens, a member of the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, has garnered tons of attention lately for saying he won't attend the enshrinement, choosing to instead celebrate in Chattanooga, where he played college ball. He's also unleashed just about every Cowboys hot take under the sun in recent months. No really, we had to add another sentence just to make room to link to them all.

He's also been spotted running a 4.5-second 40-yard dash and working out with Falcons star wideout Julio Jones.
