Bishop Ahr 6, J.F. Kennedy 0: Katie Eicher pitched a three-hit shutout and struck out 13 for Bishop Ahr (7-1). She also went 1-for-2 with home run, two RBI and two runs scored. Rebecca Irizarry went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Jenna Schwartz went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and one run scored. Alyssa DeJianne finished with one RBI. For J.F. Kennedy (5-3), Katie Baumgarten doubled. Bianca DiSanto and Erin Sinatra singled.

North Brunswick 13, Sayreville 9: Kayla Scher finished 3-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and three runs scored to lead North Brunswick (5-2). Allison Ward went 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Mia Santiago went 3-for-4 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored. Veronica Giraldo scored twice. Tara Jennings, Cassidie Speed, Aniyah Issac and Gabriella Puleio each scored a run. For Sayreville (2-5), Kayla Stvan went 3-for-3 with a home run, one RBI and two runs scored. Morgan Wehrle went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored. Old Bridge 7, Piscataway 0: Angelina Casey pitched a three-hit shutout, walked one and struck out seven to lead Old Bridge (5-3). She also scored a run. Molly Colligan finished with three RBI and scored a run. Jessica Gaughan had two RBI and scored one run. Bri Loughlin went 3-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Mariah Carrasco, Nia Carrasco and Nikki Delpino each scored a run. For Piscataway (1-4), Carly Bressler, Taylor Maher, Jennifer Majorczak and Gabriella Posada all singled. 

Carteret 13, East Brunswick 3 (6 innings): Chloe Oblepias allowed three runs, one earned, on four hits, walked two and struck out five for Carteret (3-3). She also went 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Gabriella Iannazzo went 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Melody Caces went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Jennah Schiraldo finished with one RBI and scored twice. Amanda Medvetz and Ava Dinicola each scored twice. For East Brunswick (0-8), Kayli Gural scored twice. Julia Delpozo finished with one RBI and Sarah Ciaccio scored a run. 

South Brunswick 11, Edison 0 (5 innings): Gabriella Brancaccio pitched a three-hitter, walked one and struck out six for South Brunswick (4-0). Carly Rybinski went 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple, a double, five RBI and three runs scored. Lindsey Warick went 2-for-3 with two home runs, six RBI and two runs scored. Jessica Stadler went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Serena Hutchison scored three runs. For Edison (2-4), Rachel DeFuria, Jill Alusik and Gianna Fresnedo singled. 

South River 15, Highland Park 14: South River (7-1) scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the win. Hannah Kurtz went 3-for-5 with two home runs, five RBI and four runs scored. Erin Kowalski hit a grand slam. Madison Franco tripled and scored twice. Abbey Stewart Jordin Lyons and Haley Jones each scored twice. For Highland Park (1-3), Isa Toral went 3-for-5 with a double and four runs scored. Sena Kaper-Dale went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored. Tara Vega finished with a double, two RBI and three runs scored. Nicole Edralin homered, drove in two runs and scored three runs. 

South Amboy 26, East Brunswick Tech 8 (5 innings): For East Brunswick Tech (4-3), Alexis Gonzalez went 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Kayla Morales finished with two RBI and one run scored. Rebecca Alfrey had two RBI. Makayla Brown doubled and had one RBI. Angelina Cardin and Stephanie Covino each scored twice. 

BASEBALL

Union 4, New Providence 2: Stanton Leuthner went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored for New Providence (6-2). Tommy Jankowski doubled and scored a run. Ryan Sherman finished with one RBI. 

Somerville 2, Voorhees 1: Thomas Babalis allowed one earned run on four hits, walked three and struck out eight in six innings for work to earn the win for Somerville (6-0). Dante Bozzuti went 2-for-3 with a double and one run scored. For Voorhees (6-2), Athan Magalio finished with one RBI and Kendall Pierson scored a run. Drew Conover pitched a complete game and allowed two runs, one earned, on two hits and struck out two. 

Warren Hills 17, Rutgers Prep 13: Kyle Johns went 4-for-4 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored for Rutgers Prep (2-7). Andre Scheflen went 3-for-5 with a home run, one RBI and two runs scored. Jack Sandstedt went 3-for-3 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored. Evan Nejad hit a grand slam, which was his first career home run. Cam Withum went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored. Benjamin Cuccolo went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI and one run scored. 

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 12, Linden 1: Michael Dieu went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored for Scotch Plains-Fanwood (6-3). Angelo DiNizo went 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. Patrick Downey had two RBI. Jonathan Ramos finished with one RBI and two runs scored. Willy Gale scored twice. Derek Cappadoccia earned the win in relief after he allowed one hit and struck out three in three innings. Tom Laucik started the game and allowed one earned run on two hits, walked two and struck out three in three innings. Charles Widder pitched the seventh and allowed one hit. For Linden (1-5), Christian Oritz had one RBI and Julian Almeida scored. 

Rahway 15, Hillside 3: Jake Ferraro earned the win for Rahway (5-1) after he allowed three earned runs on five hits, walked one and struck out five in a complete game effort. Jayson Gonzalez went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored. Jason Winters went 3-for-4 with one RBI and four runs scored. Andres Garcia went 3-for-5 with one home run, two RBI and one run scored. Cristian Huertas finished with one RBI and two runs scored. Ryan Beenders scored twice. 

Gill St. Bernard's 11, Manville 0 (5 innings): Mike Giammarino pitched a one-hit shutout and struck out five in five innings for Gill St. Bernard's (6-2). He also finished with two RBI. AJ Donofrio went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBI and one run scored. Matt Kalinak went 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Ryan Morash went 2-for-2 with a double, one RBI and four runs scored. Michael Taylor finished with three RBI. For Manville (1-6), Nick Mattei singled. 

Roselle Park 10, Plainfield 6: Waldy Arias finished with two RBI and one run scored for Plainfield (2-4). David Mullen and Baldwin Gomez each had one RBI and one run scored. Melfry Batista had one RBI. Carlos Acosta, Placido Gomez and Ryan Pernell each scored a run. 

Bridgewater-Raritan 11, Franklin 2 (5 innings): Greg Verano went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored for Bridgewater-Raritan (4-4). Cal Henderson finished with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored. Regan Goldberg went 2-for-3 with one run scored. David Olsakowski and Justin Sinibaldi each had two RBI. Ryan Nagle scored twice. Matt Perez earned the win in relief after he allowed one earned run on three hits, walked three and struck out one in two innings. For Franklin (0-6), Connor Murphy went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Nick Rosikiewicz scored a run. 

Pingry 9, Belvidere 8: Pingry (4-2) scored one run in the bottom of the seventh to win the game. Matt Lee went 2-for-2 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored. Anthony Rubino went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Graham Matthews scored three runs. Nate Hefner scored twice. Max Scherzer finished with two RBI. 

North Plainfield 4, South Hunterdon 0: Bruce Weyand threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 12 and allowing two hits.  He finished 3-for-3 with a solo home run to lead off the game. Antwan Barbour went 2-for-3.

BOYS LACROSSE

St. Joseph (Met.) 5, Old Bridge 4 (3OT): Jack Moore scored twice to lead St. Joseph (3-3). Michael Cardinali finished with one goal and four assists. Garrett Klurman and Connor Sweeney also scored. Stephen Walker III made seven saves. For Old Bridge (4-3), Jack Starner led with one goal and one assist. Bryce Walker, Alec Nguyen and Bryson Corbett also scored. Andrew Cherry made 17 saves. 

Westfield 8, Chatham 7 (OT): Jake Engelke recorded a hat trick for Westfield (4-3). Nick Bond finished with two goals and three assists. CJ Duffy scored twice. Mack Prybylski also scored and Matthew Rittendale added two assists. Jack McCauley and Theo Dardia combined for 13 saves. 

Watchung Hills 9, Bridgewater-Raritan 4: TJ Pecoraro, Brendan Dreyer and Joe Rica each scored twice as Watchung Hills improved to 7-0. Gavin DeFuria added one goal and one assist. Brian Richmond and Drew Furlong also scored. Spencer Bokach made 11 saves. Jake Goldstein, John Dugenio, Chase Waddington and Dan MacKinney all scored for Bridgewater-Raritan (2-5). Ryan Cernuto chipped in one assist. 

Rutgers Prep 6, Notre Dame 3: Danny Varga recorded a hat trick and two assists to lead Rutgers Prep (3-4). Liam Gleason, Joey Coviello and Nick Ciatti also scored. Charlie Phillips made 10 saves. 

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 13, Bernards 6: Noah Costanzo scored five goals to lead Scotch Plains-Fanwood (6-1). Jack Brady recorded two goals and two assists. Tommy Nakonechny scored twice. Aidan Guma and Anthony Porter each finished with one goal and three assists. Tom Bruckman made eight saves. Jack Warren led Bernards (4-2) with two goals and one assist. Ethan Caldwell scored twice. Lucas Ritchie and Braden Fitzsimmons also scored. 

New Providence 5, Voorhees 3: Tyler Lawton recorded a hat trick, and scored his 100th career goal, to pace New Providence (5-3). Joe D'Anna scored twice. Patrick Trezza made six saves. For Voorhees (4-5), Fred Clucas scored twice. John Roncoroni added one goal and one assist. Josh Csanyi made eight saves. 

South Brunswick 16, J.P. Stevens 1: Austin Haren finished with five goals and one assist for South Brunswick (2-6). Jon Lanzalotto recorded a hat trick and six assists. Danny Woisznies added two goals and two assists. Reese Jenne chipped in one goal and one assist. 

GIRLS LACROSSE

Hunterdon Central 11, Hillsborough 10 (OT): Lauren Shaw led Hunterdon Central (6-3) with five goals and one assist. Gabby Jones and Brittany Bill each finished with two goals and one assist. Emily Bill and Jessica Ribeiro also scored. Bella Steer made five saves. For Hillsborough (5-3), Olivia Johnson recorded a hat trick. Lisa Ross totaled two goals and three assists. Gabriella Vangeli and Sara Coutts each scored twice. Olivia Buckman added one goal and one assist. Kya Risher made 16 saves. 

South Plainfield 14, Edison 4: Haley Olsen scored five goals to lead South Plainfield (3-2). Kate Smith recorded a hat trick. Courtney Smith finished with two goals and one assist. Lynda Farinella scored twice. Kourtney Scipio also scored. Tatianna Sutor made 10 saves. For Edison (0-5), Samira Sargent scored twice. Kenisha Chester and Ashley LaMarca also scored. 

Mount St. Mary 19, Voorhees 4: Alaina Parisella led Mount St. Mary (8-2) with five goals and three assists. Cara Moreau scored four goals. Samantha Tush recorded a hat trick and two assists. Jennah Santiago finished with a hat trick and one assist. Emma Genovese chipped in two goals and four assists. Meghan Decker totaled two goals and two assists. Simone Koryszewski made 12 saves. For Voorhees (6-3), Matty Spaeth scored twice. Katie McLean and Emma Evanko each had one goal and one assist.  

Ridge 15, Pingry 9: Emma Wightman recorded a hat trick and five assists to lead Ridge (7-1). Mena Loescher finished with a hat trick and one assist. Annabelle Pesarchick chipped in a hat trick. Claire Keller added two goals and one assist. Georgia Pesot and Janie Islinger each had one goal and one assist. For Pingry (5-4), Alyson Feeley led with a hat trick. Ryan Davi and Olivia Lai each scored twice. Shea Smith had one goal and one assist. Cathleen Parker also scored. 

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 13, Columbia 7: Sabrina DiLollo finished with four goals and one assist to pace Scotch Plains-Fanwood (6-1). Amber Bretz recorded a hat trick and Emma Phillip scored twice. Kelly Mehorter added one goal and one assist. Anna Ciarrocca, Catherine Buren and Erica Paprocki also scored. Libby Daniskas made three saves. 

Bridgewater-Raritan 20, Watchung Hills 6: Tai Jankowski led Bridgewater-Raritan (6-2) with five goals and two assists. Lizzy Escudero scored five goals. Sadie Herman recorded a hat trick and two assists. CJ Amster and Meghan Ball each finished with two goals and one assist. Reilly Januzzi chipped in three assists. For Watchung Hills (3-5), Katie Carroll led with a hat trick. Julia Barton, Madelyn Murphy and Kyleigh Tuma all scored. 

Somerville 16, North Hunterdon 4: Camryn Rogers finished with eight goals and two assists to lead Somerville (4-4). Jennifer Williams recorded five goals and one assist. Bryn Rolon scored twice. Alonna Gliksman made 14 saves. Samantha VanBelle led North Hunterdon (3-6) with a hat trick. Jen DuFresne also scored.
