Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has been brushing up on her acting skills by enrolling on a two week course at RADA.

The Bury actress had an “amazing time” at London’s prestigious Royal Academy for Dramatic Art, leading to speculation that she could be preparing to leave Corrie.

Helen, who plays ditzy Rosie Webster in the ITV1 soap, shared the news on her Instagram, posing for a snap outside RADA.

She captioned the photo: “Had the most amazing time on my two-week course at RADA. Absolutely loved it.”

Congratulations poured in for Helen from well-wishers and one follower commented: “So excited for you! I’m well and can’t wait to see what you do next!”

Another follower wrote: “Well Done! I already love your comedic acting! Rosie makes me cry laughing!”

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art provides training for film, television and theatre with a long-line of students who have gone on to become some of Britain’s leading actors including Lord Richard Attenborough and Alan Rickman, Dame Joan Collins and Three Girls actress Maxine Peake, from Bolton.

The return of comical Rosie earlier this year proved to be a hit with fans and delighted soap bosses confirmed Helen had extended her stay on the cobbles.

Helen, who returned after five years away from the show, had originally been contracted for three months as Rosie arrived back in Weatherfield from living in America.

But ITV bosses announced that Rosie would be staying more permanently in Weatherfield with her family, with her contract extended until December.

She said in February: “I am having so much fun being back here playing Rosie again. The writing is hilarious and I am delighted to be staying around.

“I can’t wait to see what Rosie is going to get up to.”

Rosie Webster arrived home from Miami with sister Sophie

Rosie immediately found herself at the centre of the drama when she and sister Sophie, played by Brooke Vincent, discovered they had been used as drugs mules - and fans commented they “couldn’t stop laughing” at her antics.

The character has since become a window cleaner working for her mum Sally’s husband Tim Metcalfe and launched a mission to become Todd Grimshaw and Adam Barlow’s new PA in their new solicitor’s office.
